Arrest made months after deadly shooting at Hillsborough County RV park

THONOTOSASSA, Fla. (WFLA) — A months-long investigation had led to the arrest of a suspect in a deadly shooting at a Hillsborough County RV park, authorities said Friday.

Malik Rashad Cook, 19, was arrested on Dec. 18 in Pasco County for the killing of Talando House, 23, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies began investigating on June 29 after they received reports of a shooting at the Happy Traveler’s RV Resort in Thonotosassa. House was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

While the gunman was initially unidentified, deputies said their investigation eventually pointed to Cook as a suspect. Detectives believe the shooting may have been the result of an argument between the two men…
