Pasco homeowners hit by hurricanes can get up to $75,000 as county sends out first recovery checks

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Pasco County homeowners whose properties were damaged by hurricanes Helene, Milton or Idalia may be eligible for up to $75,000 to reimburse or repair storm-related damage, as the county begins distributing its first recovery checks funded by a major federal disaster grant this week.

At the start of this year, the federal government announced Pasco County would be getting more than $585 million to help hurricane victims bounce back from the devastation left behind by hurricanes from 2024 and 2023.
