TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA)— The Distinguished Flying Cross for aerial achievement was awarded to a Technical Sergeant on Tuesday at MacDill Air Force Base.
Technical Sergeant Alex Diego, a KC-135 boom operator assigned to the sixth Air Refueling Wing, was awarded the achievement during a pinning ceremony.
“The DFC is awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces who demonstrate heroism and extraordinary achievement while flying,” MacDill Air Force Base said.
