3 Haitian children rescued, adopted to families in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Three children have new families in the United States after being rescued from Haiti and brought to the Tampa International Airport.

The young boys were flown out of the country by the local nonprofit Grey Bull Rescue, which specializes in extraction from areas without resources or those surrounded by conflict.

“We wouldn’t be here without them. It’s been a blessing to get these boys to us, we’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time,” said Travis and Hannah Mullendore of Indiana, who took in two boys.

The families adopting the children told 8 On Your Side they attempted to work with local government and immigration officials for months, without assistance. Grey Bull Rescue works with numerous law enforcement and retired military personnel and has completed over 800 rescues in areas like the Middle East…
