Driver dies after crashing pickup truck into Port Richey lake

PORT RICHEY, Fla. (WFLA) — Multiple first responders were dispatched to a Port Richey park Monday after a driver lost control of his vehicle and went into a lake.

The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. at Lake Lisa Park, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. Officials said the driver, a 64-year-old Port Richey man, was found dead inside his Ford F150 pickup truck after it went underwater.

He had been traveling westbound on San Miguel Drive when, for an unknown reason, he lost control of his truck and drove across Lake Lisa Park, investigators said. The man’s truck then collided with a fence and tree before going into the lake…
