Tampa man arrested after going 148 mph on I-4: FHP

PLANT CITY, Fla. (WFLA)— A Tampa man was arrested after he was caught going over 100 mph on I-4 near Plant City early Wednesday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

A trooper was stationary on I-4 in Lakeland, observing westbound traffic around 2:55 a.m., when an Infinit G37x sedan was driving aggressively in traffic.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the trooper activated the state-issued radar and received a reading of 101 mph in a 70 mph zone.
