FLORIDA — A pedestrian was killed Friday night after being struck by a vehicle in Madeira Beach, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the crash occurred at approximately 9:01 p.m. at a marked crosswalk near the intersection of 150th Avenue and Madeira Way. Investigators reported that 72-year-old Michael Arndt was in the crosswalk at the time of the incident.
At the same time, a Jeep Wrangler driven by 51-year-old Vanessa Downs was traveling eastbound on 150th Avenue in the median lane, deputies said. The vehicle struck Arndt in the crosswalk, causing him to fall underneath the Jeep…
