PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A Tuesday afternoon commute in Pasco County turned into a scene of chaotic wreckage after a medical episode behind the wheel led to a multi-vehicle pileup.
The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed Saturday morning that the 59-year-old New Port Richey man responsible for the initial collision has died from his injuries.
The incident unfolded just before 4:30 PM on January 27, south of the Decubellis Road intersection. Authorities say the man was heading southbound in a Ford F-150 when he suddenly lost control due to a medical emergency.
