TAMPA, FLa- A 19-year-old Wesley Chapel man was arrested Friday night following a high-speed motorcycle pursuit that began in Tampa and ended in Pinellas County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP officials say an aviation unit observed several motorcycles riding recklessly and racing along Westshore Boulevard while on routine patrol. The aircraft continued tracking the group as they traveled toward and across the Gandy Bridge.
A trooper on the ground attempted a traffic stop on one of the motorcyclists, but the rider fled, traveling onto 4th Street and then southbound on Interstate 275. Authorities estimate the motorcycle reached speeds of approximately 150 miles per hour during the pursuit…
