HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – New data released for 2025 shows that Hillsborough County has hit a historic milestone in public safety, marking its fourth consecutive year of falling crime rates.
According to figures submitted to the FBI’s National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS), the county saw a 12.79% drop in overall crime compared to the previous year. This latest dip represents the most significant single-year decline since the downward trend began in 2022.
