Tampa police charge teenager in fatal shooting of woman

TAMPA, Florida — A 19-year-old has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman in her mid-30s, according to Tampa police.

Tampa Police responded to a shooting report in the 10900 block of Brittany Lane at 12:36 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026. Officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Despite lifesaving efforts, she succumbed to her injuries.

Investigators quickly identified Jamarian Bradfield, age 19, as the suspect in this isolated incident. Preliminary information indicated that Bradfield and the victim, who were acquainted, had a verbal argument before the shooting.
