TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — As a level 2 drought worsens, the City of Tampa is promoting a program that will help homeowners who are interested in having drought-friendly yards.
“We have to ensure that everyone understands their responsibility in saving water in every aspect,” said Tampa Mayor Jane Castor.

The Florida-Friendly Landscaping Incentive Program offers homeowners the chance to remake their yards to be easier on the water table and more in tune with the climate.
