TAMPA, Fla. — What started as a casual Sunday evening cookout turned into a nightmare this past weekend when a physical fight escalated into a fatal shooting at a home in the 3000 block of West Spruce Street.
Tampa Police announced Tuesday that 20-year-old Aniel Avidan Galo-Chavez is behind bars following the death of a man in his mid-30s. According to investigators, the violence erupted on February 15 during a gathering where several people who knew each other were hanging out.
The scene reportedly devolved into several arguments and physical brawls among the guests. Detectives say one particular fight broke out between Galo-Chavez, the victim, and another adult male.
