Tampa man indicted on charges of coercion and enticement of a minor

TAMPA, Florida — Angel Rivera, a 49-year-old from Tampa, has been indicted on multiple charges related to the coercion and enticement of a minor for sexual activity.

Rivera faces charges including coercion and enticement, attempted coercion and enticement of a minor, production of child sexual abuse material, and transfer of obscene material to a minor, according to U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe. If convicted on all counts, Rivera could face a maximum penalty of life in federal prison.

The indictment alleges that between October 15 and November 22, 2025, Rivera knowingly attempted to persuade and coerce an individual under the age of 18 to engage in sexual activity. On October 16, 2025, he allegedly attempted to transfer obscene material to someone he believed to be under 16.
