Get Rescued Animal Rescue Festival
10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28. 3000 Beach Blvd. S., Gulfport. Meet representatives and adoptable pets from up to 50 animal rescue groups, check out the Florida Wiener Dog Derby, shop local at the marketplace, and learn from the best with professional animal training demonstrations and pet care workshops. New to this year’s event is a rally completion sport where dogs and handlers navigate a course of instructions. Well-behaved “vaccinated” pets are welcome.

10 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 26. Seminole City Park, 7464 Ridge Road. Come view new 3D fossil display figurines and fossil display from Boca Ciega Millennium Park and check out city of Seminole and fire department displays. Museum is open all Thursdays and Saturdays.
