HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Accused killer Jeffrey Crum learned in court Friday that he will stand trial in August for the 1993 rape and murder of 12-year-old Jennifer Odom.
Odom was abducted after getting off her school bus on Feb. 19, 1993. The kidnapping happened in front of her family’s Pasco County home.

Her body was found in Hernando County six days later, but despite an extensive investigation, her family was left without answers for decades.
The case was cold until authorities announced in 2023 they had identified a possible suspect.
Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis announced the charges against Crum, saying, “This is a bad guy, who is very violent, who enjoyed violence and enjoyed hurting people.”…
