What started as a Clay County traffic stop of a car from Tampa ended with a passenger in handcuffs and two alleged felonies on the books, after deputies say they discovered two firearms and suspected cocaine inside the vehicle.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office shared photos of the haul on Facebook on March 1, 2026, and said the passenger was arrested on two felony charges. Deputies did not release the person’s name in the post and noted that the investigation is still underway.
