BRANDON, Fla. – If you usually take Falkenburg Road to get around Brandon late at night, you’ll need to adjust your GPS for a few hours. Starting at 8:30 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, March 3, a stretch of Falkenburg Road just south of SR 60 (Adamo Drive) will be completely closed to traffic.
The closure is scheduled to wrap up by 1 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, March 4, though officials noted the timing depends on the weather. Crews are shutting down the lanes to handle paving operations, which are part of a larger project to repave SR 60 between Falkenburg Road and Lake Kathy Drive in Hillsborough County.
You won’t be left guessing where to go once you hit the orange cones. The county is setting up message boards and temporary signs to guide everyone through a detour.
