DUI Suspect Arrested After 129 MPH Pursuit on State Road 52

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A man was arrested early Friday after leading a Florida Highway Patrol trooper on a high-speed pursuit along State Road 52 that reached speeds of more than 120 mph before ending with a tactical maneuver.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Trooper Starling Kelley was parked in the lot of the RaceTrac gas station at 29200 State Road 52 when a store employee approached and reported a dark-colored Dodge Ram pickup doing “doughnuts” in the grassy area of the property.

The employee pointed out the truck, which was parked near a gas pump next to the trooper’s marked patrol vehicle. The driver then left the parking lot and began traveling eastbound on State Road 52 before entering the left turn lane…
