TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A winter weather system moving through the area Monday threatened flights at Tampa International Airport. Dozens of delays and cancellations added to the travel headache for passengers dealing with the airport’s spring break travel rush.
As of this report, TPA has experienced 163 delays and 176 cancelled flights.

The airport’s chief operating officer John Tiliacos previously said, “For the next six weeks, we estimate we’re going to have 3.1 million passengers to travel through TPA.” The spring break travel rush runs through April 13.
