Bob Buckhorn has more than $1.4 million in a PAC that’ll support a presumptive run for a third term, but the former Tampa mayor was chasing a different pot of gold last Saturday.
The 67-year-old was on the Hillsborough River alongside current Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and other city officials as he presided over River O’Green, a tradition he started in 2012.
The dyeing of the river is the ire of some environmentalists and watermen (the city says the practice is safe) and comes right before a downtown St. Patrick’s Day parade, which included 2026’s Grand Marshal Thaddeus Bullard, aka Titus O’Neil.
