Hillsborough County Sheriff Deputies ‘Grapple’ Fleeing Suspect During High-Speed Chase

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A Saturday night traffic stop turned into a dangerous pursuit through local streets before Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies utilized a specialized immobilization device to end the chase. The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Danny Wilson III, was taken into custody after attempting to outrun law enforcement in a green Toyota sedan.

The incident began at 7:25 p.m. on March 14, 2026, when a deputy spotted a Toyota failing to come to a complete stop near West Waters Avenue and Redbraes Drive. After pulling the vehicle over, deputies discovered that Wilson was wanted on an out-of-county warrant for unpaid child support.
