Pokémon card worth over $1,000 swiped from Hillsborough County store: HCSO

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Two men are behind bars after the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said they stole a valuable Pokémon card from a local store.

Detectives began investigating on March 17 after the pair was caught on camera distracting the clerk and swiping the card, a Mega Gengar ex 284/217, from a display case. It was worth $1,050.

HCSO said the men, identified as Joseph Roque, 36, and Enrique Saucedo, 26, committed a similar theft earlier that month in downtown St. Petersburg.

Roque was arrested on March 20. Saucedo, who had an outstanding warrant from the Tampa Police Department for kidnapping, false imprisonment and domestic violence battery in an unrelated case, was arrested at a Tampa home that same day…
