A Tampa favorite is in St. Pete for the first time. The 4th Annual Tampa Bay Empanada Festival is coming to Win! Derby @ Derby Lane (10490 Gandy Blvd N) this Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19, showcasing a huge collection of international chefs and food trucks, all with an emphasis on empanadas.
After smashing success in its first three years in Tampa, the 2026 rendition of the Tampa Bay Empanada Festival is its first in St. Pete. There will be empanadas from 15+ vendors available for guests to savor, creating one of the tastiest foodie experiences of the spring festival season in Tampa Bay. Tickets are available now, with various options including free entry before 2 pm. Festivities run from 12-8 pm each day.
All told, this year’s festival will feature more than 50 types of empanadas for guests to feast on. And of course, there will be plenty more than just those fried pockets of goodness, as the specialty vendors will also be offering a diverse selection of delicious bites unique to their skills and normal menus…
