VALRICO, Fla. – A Valrico neighborhood was flooded with emergency lights Friday evening as crews rushed to battle a fast-moving house fire on East Lumsden Road.
The incident began around 5:19 PM when several 911 callers alerted the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue dispatch center to flames coming from a home at 4207 East Lumsden Road, Valrico.
When the first engine company pulled up to the scene, they were met with heavy fire pouring from the back of the house. Firefighters didn’t waste any time, immediately pulling handlines and launching an aggressive interior attack. Their quick work paid off, as they managed to bring the blaze under control in less than 15 minutes.
