The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to allow extra time over the next two weekends for the Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) Loop 101 to Val Vista Drive 30-month widening project:
• The westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) will be closed from Gilbert Road to Arizona Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16.
• The westbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Santan Village Parkway, Val Vista Drive and Lindsay Road also will be closed.
• DETOUR: Motorists traveling west on Loop 202 may consider exiting ahead of the closure and using Pecos or Germann roads.
• The eastbound Loop 202 off-ramp at Arizona Avenue will be closed from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15. Upcoming weekend closure (Sept. 20-23)
• Westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) will be closed between Arizona Avenue and Loop 101 (Price Freeway) from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23.
• The westbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Gilbert, McQueen, and Cooper roads also will be closed.
• DETOUR: Motorists traveling west on Loop 202 may consider exiting ahead of the closure and using Pecos or Germann roads.
