Traffic has slowed after two company trucks crashed on State Route 238 this morning.
Maricopa police and fire responded to the crash at the Loma Road intersection at 9:27 a.m., where a Phoenix-based Combs Construction Company truck rear-ended a Mesa-based Otto Trucking vehicle in the eastbound lane.
Maricopa Fire and Medical Department Engine 575 crews blocked off the lane as officers and public safety aides directed traffic at the intersection.
Eastbound drivers were directed into the right turn lane and through the intersection. The left turn lane off of Loma was blocked off with cones.
Drivers of both trucks were seen taking pictures of the scene, and an ambulance was on standby.
Injuries and the cause of the crash are not yet known. InMaricopa has contacted a city spokesperson for comment.
