A Glendale business is holding a weeklong fundraiser for fallen Phoenix police Officer Zane Coolidge, who was shot in the line of duty in early September.
EJ’s Auction and Appraisal of Glendale is hosting an auction with all proceeds going to Coolidge’s family. The last bid will be at 10 a.m. Saturday on Nov. 16.
The event will auction off vintage items ranging from memorabilia such as a Mobil Oil porcelain Pegasus and a Michelin man sign to a large metal phone booth. Also listed for sale are multiple comic books, coins and other collectibles.
Coolidge was a five-year veteran of the Phoenix Police Department and a husband and father who left behind a wife and young child.
“The injuries he sustained after the cowardly acts of another were just too much for him to overcome. Officer Coolidge’s legacy will forever be a part of this Department,” Phoenix police interim Chief Michael Sullivan wrote shortly after in a news release.
