Another close call at an Arizona airport

PHOENIX — Another near-miss between two commercial flights was reported at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Association.

On Sunday, Feb. 23, air traffic control told Southwest Airlines Flight 3606 to turn left when the plane was approaching Sky Harbor. The crew did not respond, the FAA said.

The Southwest flight then got “too close” to American Airlines Flight 2079, another plane approaching the airport…
