Man arrested for deadly shooting of Lyft driver in Guadalupe

GUADALUPE, AZ (AZFamily) — A man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in Guadalupe earlier this week. The victim was identified as his Lyft driver.

On Monday, at 8:36 a.m., The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) responded to Calle Bella Vista, just east of Interstate 10, after a woman called 911 to report that her boyfriend had shot their Lyft driver while they were being brought to a home.

Responding deputies found the Lyft driver, now identified as 51-year-old John Lucas, unresponsive in his car. Fire crews pronounced him dead at the scene, where detectives say multiple gunshots had been fired…
