Urgent SAFE Alert Issued for Missing 91-Year-Old Man in Maricopa County; Tempe Police Seek Public’s Help

The Arizona Department of Public Safety has activated a SAFE Alert for a missing elderly man from Maricopa County, according to a recent bulletin. The missing individual, Apolonio Romero, aged 91, was last seen near Scottsdale Road and Curry Road on January 2nd, around 6 P.M. Tempe Police Department is actively seeking out the help of the community to assist in locating him.

Romero is described as a Hispanic male, standing at 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a weight of around 140 pounds. His eyes are black, and his hair is grey. During his last sighting, he was reported to be wearing a denim jacket. Tempe Police have expressed particular concern over Apolonio’s disappearance due to a medical condition, which might result in him becoming easily lost, or confused. The Department of Public Safety urges anyone with information to come forward.

Authorities are reminding the public to be on the lookout, and highlight the importance of tips from residents which could be vital to the safe return of Romero.
