Resolution Copper recently committed $285,000 to Mesa-based United Food Bank through a multi-year agreement that runs through December 2028. This donation responds to the high demand that food banks across Arizona continue to see as the cost of living continues on the rise.
While United Food Bank is headquartered in Mesa, its reach is far beyond the East Valley. The organization serves a 19,000-square-mile region that stretches into eastern Arizona and includes portions of Maricopa, Pinal, Apache, and Navajo counties, as well as parts of Gila County. Across that area, United Food Bank works with more than 125 food pantries, shelters, hot meal sites, and community organizations to distribute food and other resources.
That network includes partnerships in the Globe–Miami area, where access to food assistance often depends on collaboration between a small number of local organizations.
