Man hospitalized after being attacked by bees at Tempe’s ASU soccer stadium

TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — A man in his 50s was hurt Saturday morning after a swarm of bees became aggressive at Arizona State University’s soccer stadium on the northeast side of the Tempe campus.

At about 10 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the west entrance of the Sun Devil Soccer Stadium near Rural Road and University Drive, according to the Tempe Fire Department.

When they arrived, they found a swarm of bees and several people who had been stung. One man was stung multiple times while trying to get away from the bees.

He was the only one taken to the hospital for more treatment. A firefighter was stung but did not require serious medical attention…
