Toledo shooting: Teen critical after 2 gunmen fired at each other during festival

Innocent bystanders were wounded and left fighting for their lives after a confrontation between two gunmen sparked a shooting near a historic festival in Ohio. Twelve people sustained injuries, two of whom remain in critical condition in hospital, while both suspects are still on the run.

Law enforcement officers from Toledo and Lucas County were dispatched to a shooting at the Old West End Festival, near the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Glenwood Avenue, on Saturday shortly after 5:30 p.m., according to officials.

Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple gunshot victims, including two in critical condition, ranging in age from 14 to 61, with police confirming the majority were in their early 20s.

“It appears as though at least two shooters. We think they were shooting at each other,” said Deputy Chief of Toledo Police Joseph Heffernan.
