A West Toledo man pleaded guilty Thursday morning to involuntary manslaughter and two other counts arising from his girlfriend’s shooting death nine months ago.
Jeffrey Townsend, Jr., 36, of the 1700 block of Talbot Street, and prosecutors agreed to a 30-year prison sentence as part of the plea bargain, but Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Stacy Cook delayed sentencing until Monday so the victim’s relatives could prepare statements.
