TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Toledo City Council is proposing an ordinance to bill property owners for the cost of mowing overgrown properties, after the city spent nearly $900,000 on the work over the past year.
From July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026, the city stepped in to clean up overgrown grass and weeds on more than 2,700 properties. Council is now proposing to pass those costs back to the property owners.
