A man who cut a brake cable on a motorcycle belonging to his girlfriend’s boss received an 18-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to reduced charges.
Kenneth Upchurch, 42, had been indicted for attempted murder in the Nov. 7 incident, which prosecutors said was in retaliation for the boss having figured out that the girlfriend had posed as her own probation officer in a phone call seeking an excuse from work.
Other employees and patrons at the Old Bag of Nails Pub saw Upchurch tampering with the motorcycle, prosecutors said. He and girlfriend Amanda Lancaster were indicted Feb. 25…
