TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Two children were hospitalized Friday afternoon after being hit by an elderly driver while crossing the street in a school zone in front of Hawkins STEAM Academy, according to Toledo police.
Police say two girls, an 11-year-old and a 5-year-old, were crossing the street just before 3:15 p.m. while lights were activated and a crossing guard had signaled to them to cross.
