OHIO — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the village of Ottawa Hills celebrated the completion of a wetland project near the Ottawa River focused on improving water quality throughout the region.
The H2Ohio initiative project included stormwater retention and floodplain wetlands spanning a 23-acre site.
“H2Ohio is helping to improve water quality with every new wetland,” said Gov. Mike DeWine, R-Ohio. “With more than 500 H2Ohio wetlands either in-progress or completed across the state so far, these projects are making a big difference in keeping nutrient runoff out of our lakes and rivers.”…
