LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio (WTVG) – Several local school districts are asking voters this November to approve an income tax instead of a property tax increase.
Public school districts have said for years they are not getting the money they need or were promised from state lawmakers, so the difference is being made up on the local level.
There is some support for the new approach, along with skepticism.
