TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A local family is demanding answers after a nonverbal 17-year-old with multiple disabilities came home covered in scratches and bruises following his commute from the Autism Academy of Learning last week.
Jalona Carthage, the teen’s aunt, says her nephew cannot defend or speak for himself. She says she wants to know how the injuries happened under school supervision and why no one intervened.
