Prominent Toledo defense lawyer facing felony charges in jail contraband investigation

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A prominent defense lawyer is facing felony charges, which stem from an investigation into contraband allegedly being brought into the Lucas County Jail.

Lucas County Prosecutors filed a bill of information, formally charging attorney Phillip Carlisle with two felony counts of ‘Obstructing Official Business.’ Those two charges stem from an investigation dating back to March about contraband allegedly being brought into the Lucas County Jail.
