After nearly two years of planning and construction, the Toledo Lucas County Public Library will welcome customers back to the Washington Branch on Saturday, Dec.5 with the opening of a new, 20,000-square-foot facility designed to support learning, connection and discovery for generations to come.

“We know the Washington community has been waiting for this day, and the Toledo Library is grateful for the patience and support our customers have shown throughout construction,” said Toledo Library Chief Executive Officer Jason Kucsma. “This facility reflects what we heard from our customers throughout the planning process. It was designed to be a flexible, welcoming destination where people of all ages can read, learn and create for years to come.”…
