Oregon neighbors raise alarm over speeding on Schmidlin Road

OREGON, Ohio (WTVG) – Neighbors who live on Schmidlin Road say drivers going well over the 25 mile per hour speed limit is a problem. They say the street is often used as a cut-through, which has led to more traffic and more speeders.

Neighbors describe close calls

Ava Pecina has lived on Schmidlin Road for seven years. She said speeding has been a persistent problem.

“We have a lot of little kids who live on this street. We should not be speeding,” she said.

“There was one time where me and my friend were walking and we almost got hit because there’s just a bunch of speeding. That should not be happening,” said Pecina…
