TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo woman says an abandoned commercial property behind her home is overgrown with weeds and has drawn rats and other pests into her yard. City officials say there is no owner to hold responsible for cleaning it up.
Madeline Driftmyer recently bought her home after living there for five years. She said a nearby property at 1955 W. Sylvania Ave. has sat unmaintained for at least two years.
“Behind my neighbor’s garage here, they have a garage. The entire roof is completely caved in. In the last two years, there’s been no sign of any human being to come and maintain,” Driftmyer said…
