Toledo tiny home project offers low-income residents a path to homeownership

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Bluff Street Village, a cluster of tiny homes in Toledo, has been growing for four years, offering residents a path to homeownership instead of renting.

The project has turned former vacant lots into a row of tiny homes that residents can own after seven years. There are currently seven tiny homes built, with eight more expected to be completed by 2030.

Coy Clifton and his dog, Chico, have lived at Bluff Street Village for more than four years. His 400-square-foot home includes a kitchen, bathroom and living space, along with a washer, dryer, stove and refrigerator…
