A man was injured in West Toledo early Monday when his vehicle accelerated from a hospital parking lot, drove over curbs, and struck another vehicle in a pizza shop driveway, according to Toledo police.
Gregory Kowalski, 66, of Toledo, was in the parking lot at ProMedica Toledo Hospital near Hughes Drive when just after midnight for an unknown reason he accelerated and went over multiple curbs, through a large grass area, struck a fence, and continued toward Midwood Avenue, where he struck a parked vehicle, police said…
