Local artist/poet/musician Steven J. Athanas will hold an artist reception for his new exhibit 2D or Not 2D at Flatlanders Art Galleries on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. This event was originally scheduled at an earlier date but was postponed due to inclement weather. Experience the Toledo Museum of Art’s new Caravaggio exhibit with a free lecture courtesy of curator emeritus Lawrence W. Nichols on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Little Theater. Nichols will discuss Caravaggio’s formative years in Rome and how those years led to the creation of some of the artist’s most acclaimed works.
