BEDFORD TWP. — Three teenagers have been identified as the suspects in two break-ins of a Bedford Township business.
An 18-year-old man from Temperance has been lodged at the Monroe County Jail on two counts of breaking and entering a business and one count of breaking and entering an unoccupied residence, a news release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Charges are being sought against the two alleged accomplices, 16- and 17-year-old boys who also are from Temperance.
The first break-in at the Himalaya Vape Store, 7350 Jackman Road in Bedford Township, happened on Dec. 6, the release said. Deputies were dispatched for an alarm activation, and upon arrival they discovered the business had been entered and merchandise was stolen. On Jan. 28, a second break-in occurred at the business and more merchandise was stolen.
Deputies Hunter Chirillo, Justin Zielinski and Curtis Lewis, along with Detective Ken Dodds of the sheriff’s office’s Detective Bureau, investigated and discovered the suspects illegally entered an unoccupied residence in the 1500 block of Sterns Road and stored the stolen merchandise there, the release said. Later, the three suspects were taken into custody and the stolen merchandise was returned to the owner.
