Every Thursday from October to April, excluding December, the Monroe Street United Methodist Church, 3613 Monroe St. hosts their First Thursday Luncheon Series. The First Thursday Luncheon, “an interfaith coalition of local peace and justice advocates,” according to an event organizer spokesperson, was organized by several area churches and social justice advocates, including the Monroe Street United Methodist Church, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, First Unitarian Church and local Catholic and other social justice advocates to spread knowledge for social justice to the Toledo area.
